Its been a while since my last trip to Puerto Plata but I was trying to make plans to go back there. I love the beaches and activities there a lot. I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay there? The resort I used to stay at has closed. Also, I am looking for new activities there. I have always gone to Ocean World Puerto Plata but I would like to experience something new and exciting. Any suggestions?
God Bless,
John

Moved from Croissant Park
Hi there,
I am not sure if anyone reads these posts anymore, but my wife and I have moved from Croissant Park after living there for over 17 years. I will always have fond memories of my days there. It was my first time of owning a home in my life and experiencing home ownership. Becoming Civic minded, meeting my neighbors and getting involved, this is always a challenge when time is very limited, but I was able to do it.
Croissant Park will always be in my heart because I started my swimming with the dolphins business there, working day and night to make a living. Even today, I never know if I will get enough business to pay all my bills.
The only legacy I think I might have left Croissant Park was the few trees that survived 2 hurricanes on 14th Street. Maybe 8 trees survived from 20 trees the volunteers planted. So every time I drive down 14 street, those were the trees we planted. It makes me happy I was able to leave back something, not only take, but give too!
Now, that my Duplex is a rental property, I will still be involved but more from a distance. I have paid my dues to the CPCA and look forward to the New and Better Croissant park for years to come.
God Bless,
John
