DESCRIPTION: Fort Lauderdale’s largest outdoor, pet-friendly cocktail hour featuring drinks, appetizers, live music, pet adoptions, prizes and lots of fun activities for pets

DONATION: $20 per person (in advance) or $25 at the door. Fee includes two cocktails and appetizers. Tickets may be purchased online at www.GoRiverwalk.com. Funds raised go toward the Riverwalk Trust. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Humane Society of Broward County.

The Thrift Shoppe has the entire store on sale for 1/2 off every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. They have some great stuff and the proceeds go to the Children's Foundation at Broward General Medical Center, now known as Broward Health. It is run by Auxiliary volunteers.

Stop in and you may find a better way to get your holiday shopping done while benefiting children at the same time. It is on Andrews Avenue - directly across the street from the hospital.
